Base Camp Farm & Ranch — Terms of Service

Overview. This website is operated by Base Camp Farm & Ranch LLC ("Base Camp Farm & Ranch," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, including the additional policies referenced here (such as our Refund & Returns Policy and Privacy Policy). If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that lets us sell to you.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

1. Eligibility. By placing an order you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete purchase and account information.

2. Products, availability, and pickup. We are a small farm and product availability is limited by what we raise and harvest. We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse or cancel any order, and discontinue any product at any time. Most orders are currently pickup-only at the farm in Rusk, TX; we'll contact you to schedule pickup after your order is placed. Frozen shipping for beef, pork, and lamb is planned for fall 2026. Poultry and eggs are pickup-only and are never shipped.

3. Pricing and catch-weight. Prices are subject to change without notice. Many meat items are sold catch-weight, meaning the final price is based on the actual weight of the package and may differ from any estimate shown at the time of order. We make every effort to display products, weights, and prices accurately, but we are not responsible for typographical errors, and we reserve the right to correct errors and to cancel orders affected by them.

4. Deposits and shares. Whole, half, and share orders require a deposit that reserves your animal. Deposit refund terms are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy: deposits are non-refundable except where we are unable to fulfill the order, in which case the deposit is refunded in full.

5. No resale. Our products are sold for personal, household use. You may not resell or use our products for commercial purposes without our written permission.

6. Traceability records. We provide animal life-record ("Know Your Food" tag) information as a good-faith record of how each animal was raised. Records are sealed at processing and provided for your information. While we stand behind our raising standards, the records are provided "as is" and are not a warranty of any particular result.

7. Accuracy of information. Content on this site is provided for general information and may include occasional inaccuracies or omissions. We reserve the right to correct or update information at any time without notice.

8. Third-party links and tools. The site may link to or use third-party services (including Shopify). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third parties. Your use of such services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our products and this site are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Base Camp Farm & Ranch and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our products. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Handle, store, and cook all products safely; cook to safe internal temperatures.

10. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
